Our research spans across all aspects - clinical (how to better assess and treat our patients), basic (understanding the biology behind IBD, which will help develop new therapies), translational (connecting basic with clinical, mostly using patient samples and data), and quality assurance research (assessing and improving how we practice). We are very fortunate to have all these areas of expertise within our EPIC group and through collaborations and partnerships. Some of the ongoing and completed research is highlighted on this website, but there is a lot more work to be done. You can help us as participants, advocates, and by supporting in any other way, with the ultimate goal of research in mind - if we understand why we can figure out how to better treat and prevent IBD in children.
