Inactivity is the number one medical problem in kids these days; you have the opportunity to prevent many other medical problems by doing the right things.
THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT
Nothing for you to be ashamed about - you should be proud that you are managing and allow this ‘experience’ to make you a stronger person.

This is our goal - you may have a condition but together we can control it and allow you to do almost anything.

You have the ability to make things better for yourself
It is critical that we know what is going on with you! Let your medical team know if there are any changes; the earlier the better.
BE THE CHAMPION - get involved, become responsible, take initiatives, become a leader. Make something positive from this.
Participate in research
This will help us to help you and others; we hear from many patients that it makes them feel like they are doing something and not just being passive. Find out more about EPIC research HERE.
Once you feel better it can help patients who were just diagnosed if you support them. Talk to us if you are interested.
Tell the world/your community about IBD
Some kids have arranged activities or fundraisers or have even just spoke to their class about IBD. Talk to us if you want help with this.
